Mr. Nunzio is an experienced attorney with more than 35 years in the
practice of civil litigation, including advising and counseling individual, corporate, insurance and governmental (in-house) clients; managing and litigating significant cases involving catastrophic injuries and wrongful death; participating in mediations and arbitrations; evaluating and negotiating settlements. He has investigated, prepared and tried hundreds of jury and judge trials as well as mediated and arbitrated cases as a victims’ rights lawyer and as insurance defense counsel in the state and federal courts located in the Washington, D.C. metropolitan area.
Mr. Nunzio received his Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science-Urban Studies from the George Washington University in Washington D.C. (1977). He was awarded his Juris Doctor degree from the University of Baltimore School of Law in Baltimore, MD (1981), where he was Articles Editor for University of Baltimore Law Forum.
Mr. Nunzio is admitted to practice law in Maryland (1981); District of Columbia (1982); Virginia (2000); New York (2004) (inactive); United States District Court for the District of Columbia (1984); United States District Court for the District of Maryland (1989); United States District Court for the Eastern District of Virginia-Alexandria Division (“Rocket Docket”) (2007); United States Court of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit (2000); United States Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia Circuit (2012).
Mr. Nunzio has been recognized by his peer in the law by maintaining Martindale Hubbell’s “AV” rating, which is the highest legal rating for legal aptitude and ethics since 2001.
